Sakao's Spring Ceremonial Matcha is produced by grinding the tea leaves from the first harvest into a fine powder. The grinding of the tea is what gives it its special properties and makes its quality largely superior to that of other standard green tea and even infused teas in general. Because the tea leaves are ground, it is easier to absorb the whole nutritional value of the green tea.
The youngest and softest tea leaves used for this Matcha give smooth, floral and umami flavour.
It is a perfect grade matcha to prepare Usucha. Smooth, creamy and very floral mouth feel.
Preparation
1) Put 1/2 teaspoon (about 2.5g) tea in a tea bowl.
2) Pour 60ml of hot water (70-75 degrees) into the bowl.
3) Whisk matcha with a tea whisk (chasen) for about 30 seconds.
